Sometimes, a dog finds their way to Henry’s House with no intention of ever leaving.
Many of these pups are seniors who simply need a safe, loving place to spend their remaining years. Others have special needs that require ongoing care, patience, and a permanent home where their needs can be managed long-term.
The dogs featured on this page are the ones who will remain here at Henry’s House, where they’ll be cared for by Shea and her husband, Brian, for the rest of their lives.
Providing lifelong care for these special dogs comes with ongoing expenses—from food and medications to veterinary care, specialized treatments, and all the little things that help them feel safe and loved.

Paris Anne
Tiny Farm Dog Wannabe
Paris Anne is a tiny firecracker. She is three pounds of sass and attitude. She may be small, but she has no idea. She will take on any and everything.
As a puppy, Paris' back was injured and the discs in her spine fused together. This has caused a loss of some feeling in her hind end and incontinence. With some help getting around and gabapentin she is a mostly normal dog and has no idea she is different.
We anticipate that as she gets older arthritis will set in and she may need a wheelchair down the line. And as she does we will match her needs along the way.
Mosby Jo "Moe"
Lil' ol' Lady
Moe made her way to Henry's House after her mom sadly passed away. When we picked her up from her mom's family we found out more of her story. Moe was originally a daddy's girl, but he unfortunately passed in 2020. After that she had her mom. And then she lost her mom.
At 13 we aren't sure how much time she has left, and we didn't want to uproot her life and have her lose people again. So, we made the decision to keep Moe here at Henry's House. She has attached herself to Brian and adjusted to life here on the farm.
In her old age Mosby has developed severe hip dysplasia and chronic dry eye. She will be on medicine for the rest of her life to manage both of these conditions.
